On a board of 10 :club: 5 :club: K :diamond: Q :club: Ellie calls a bet of 475k from Vikrum.

River 4 :club:

Vikrum bets 500k and Ellie calls. Vikrum asks Ellie if she has a flush and she says no. Ellie shows K-9 (no club) and wins a huge pot. Vikrum is left with 870k, to Ellie's 3.8m.

On a weekend with lots of options for players, Luton ended up with a very respectable 188 entries, making a prize pool of £37,600.

Huge congratulations go to Ellie Biessek who has outlasted everyone and takes home the title, trophy and £9,025. Also, very well played to Vikrum Mehta, our runner-up, who also took home £9,025.

Thank you to all the staff especially Ruben and George who ran a great tournament. Thanks also go to the dealers and the valets, who have all done a fabulous job.

Well done to everyone for making this another great event in the London region. The next leg in London will take place at the home of Poker which is The Poker Room @ The Vic on the weekend of July 17th-20th 2014.

Please note that there will be a change to the Day 1 flights just for this leg at The Vic:

Flight 1 – Thurs 17th July 7pm
Flight 2 – Fri 18th July 7pm
Flight 3 – Sat 19th July 12 noon

Day 2 will commence at 12 noon on Sun 20th July.

That’s it from me tonight. Thanks to everyone for following the updates again. I hope you all enjoyed them. I’m having a break from the updates for a few weeks as I’m travelling to Las Vegas for 2 weeks of guaranteed sunshine and poker!

The next 25/25 Series event is in Stockton next weekend. As always updates will be available on www.aworldofpoker.com.

Thanks and good night

Fantastic job on the blogging Michelle. It was great to meet you. Congrats to the top four who I think thoroughly deserved their prize money. Personally I was disappointed with my performance. I just didn't have the heart and commitment (as Tony G would say), to shove and steal at the right time. I folded AQs and AQo correctly at the final table. 88, TT, and JJ were my biggest pairs. That's not uncommon though. I didn't have the ability to move at the right moment. I said two things which I believe to be true, and that is I only make money because there are still people around stupid enough to call me, and I ladder so many final tables I should have been a f*cking window cleaner. It was also a pleasure meeting Graham Pound again who was at my table for a while. He used to play down the road when it was the old Grosvenor. I feel a little disheartened with my performance, but it was still a good ride.
I'm an opinionated old tosser and proud of it.
