ANNOUNCEMENT - OCTOBER MEGA75ER

Postby SalfordGentingCR » Fri Aug 18, 2017 6:29 pm

Hi Guys

We are doing another MEGA75ER in October. Below are dates and details.
This time we have increased the GTD to £15,000.

£75 + £8 Buy-in
£15,000 GTD
Day 1A Thursday 26th October - 7pm Start
Day 1B Friday 27th October - 7pm Start
Day 1C Saturday 28th October - 1pm Start
Final Day Sunday 29th October - 2pm Start

Unlimited Re-Entries allowed
GPS Mini clock and structure to be used.

Starting tonight we will start £5 LMS in club, these have proven very popular and fully expect around 30 players to qualify through these alone.

I will put updates on here of numbers nearer the time.
Any questions just fire away.

Spread the word!!

Thanks

Glenn

What time would you anticipate the final to finish on the Sunday night given a 14:00 start ?

The last 2 events that we have done the final has finished at 12.30am and 1.30am.
Both of these where played out to a finish with no deals
So I would anticipate similar time again

Quick update...

Up-to Today we have 25 pre qualified players for MEGA75ER
I am hoping over the next three weeks to get that to at least 40.
I honestly think this will be the biggest and best one yet with BIG prize pool.

For those interested...

Thursday has 13 pre qualifiers
Friday has 5
Saturday has 7

As above any queries or questions just fire away

Regards

Glenn

Thank you for the information...

Very helpful.

I believe that the GPS Mini starting stack is 25k

Is this not being used for this comp, as it says it is using the GPS mini structure?

When we started this comp months ago we started it with 20,000 and worked really well. The feedback we got was everything from starting stack, early bird bonus to structure was spot on. I even changed the structure ever so slightly on day 2 to enable more play for players.
So in answer to your question it worked well and didn't feel the need to change it to bigger stack.
I am always actively asking players for feedback to make poker here the best possible experience and in the future if enough players feel that we need to increase stack then we may look into doing it.
But for now as the old saying goes if its not broke doesn't need fixing.

Regards

Glenn

Thanks Glenn, a good explanation and I will definitely be playing it, and hopefully I'll be bringing 3 friends too.

Will you be in attendance on the Saturday day 1 prior to the start?
